Why isn’t My Captured Screen Representative of the Original Web Page?

When DemoGo captures a screen, it creates a html copy of that page as it appears in a browser. In some cases, particularly when a page is heavily reliant on javascript, the capture may not be a completely accurate representation of what a user would normally see.

In these cases, changing the screen format from HTML to Image in the Box Style Properties will use a screengrab of the page instead of a html copy. This ensures that users will see exactly what would load in a browser. Clickable areas associated with widgets on the screen will still function as normal, meaning the demo will still function as it would with an html copy.

In order to activate the Image Format feature for a widget’s screen, use the dropdown menu in the Style section of the Box Properties for that widget. The next time you publish your project, the demo will use the screengrab instead of the html copy of the page.
